Harbouring of Illegal Immigrants
MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS AND INTERNAL SECURITY
The Ministry of Home affairs and Internal Security would like to seriously warn the general public that harbouring irregular migrants is an offence under the Laws of Country. As such the Ministry would like to notify the general public that anyone found harbouring irregular migrants will be dealt with in accordance with the law. The Ministry would also like to remind the general public that as citizens of the country, it is their duty to be vigilant at all times and take an active part in preserving peace and calm, law and order in the country. In light of this the Ministry wishes to urge all Malawians not to hesitate to report to Immigration authorities all irregular migrants or anyone harbouring them.
PERMIT APPLICANTS
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services would like to notify organizations and individuals who submitted their permit applications at Immigration Headquarters, Immigration Regional Offices (North and Centre) and have not received any response for more than four (4) months from the date of submission to contact the Department immediately.
They should report at Immigration Headquarters in person or call on 01 831 563, 08 382 151, 09 235 260 and speak to the permit enquiries Officer or email at permitcounter@gmail.com during working hours.
